Description

He founded and co-chairs the sports investment committee at EBAN (European Business Angel Network) and has assessed or advised hundreds of start-ups as a mentor and jury member, and invested in +10 in six different countries. He served in boards in Norway and Denmark of ecosystem hubs and VCs, also as an expert in health tech at Conrad Challenge by Houston Space Center. Besides HBS, he also taught at Copenhagen Business School, Stockholm School of Economics, ESBS among others. Having served as a mentor in Techstars US SportsTech Accelerator, Juan brings a global expertise; bridging global sports organizations, investors, and sports tech companies. Previously, he worked as Director of the Microsoft Sports Innovation Testing Center, spent nearly ten years driving LALIGA’s and Spanish clubs strategic expansion as Delegate in key markets across Northern Europe and the Middle East, overseeing commercial, BD, marketing, digital, PR, CSR, institutional and audiovisual strategies and projects. He also published the case of LALIGA for Harvard Business School. He also worked at ICEX (Spanish Foreign Trade and Investment Agency) in MENA, and Oxford Business Group (economic research and consultancy boutique) in APAC. Featured in Forbes, BBC, ElPaís, Europapress, beIN Sports among others. Awarded executive (First Nova 111 list in Spain in Telcom, Media and entertainment).
