Description
Mrs. Natalija Stošicki is a secretary at the Ministry of economy, labour and sport in Republic of Slovenia, Entrepreneurship Division, responsible for the formulation of policies and implementation of measures promoting and supporting entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial potential.
She held a position as a Director of the Development and EU programmes department at SID Bank from 2017-2023. She has been working more than 25 years as an expert in financial instruments, asset management, banking and health insurance services.
She has begun her professional career in 1996 at Securities Market Agency and continued as a Head of the Capital Markets Department and Banking and Insurance Industry Department in the Ministry of Finance where she significantly contributed to the formation of the first financial regulatory framework for Slovene capital market and UCITS regulatory framework.
She continued her career as a President of the management board at Medvešek Pušnik, asset management company p.l.c. and as CEO in Alta Funds, Asset management company p.l.c..
From October 2013 until November 2023 she held a position of a deputy director and then a director of Product Development and EU programmes Department at SID Export and Development Bank. As such she was responsible for the products development& bank product mix strategies, development of debt/guarantee/equity financial instruments (banking products) within variety of mandates (cohesion 2014-2021, InvestEU, national budget mandates, private-public partnerships), with a special focus on SME’s and for the utilization of EUR 310 million + European cohesion policy programme 2014-2020 through establishment and management of two holding Fund of Funds. She worked closely with the European Investment Fund (EIF) on EUR 220 million SEGIP programme (https://www.eif.org/what_we_do/resources/slovene-equity-growth-investment-programme/index.htm) for equity financing of companies via co-investments, PE and VC funds in Slovenia.
As a national expert she was a member of several committees and working groups of the EC, European Council and EP, a TAIEX expert, a member of several EAPB Committees and NEFI (Network of European Financial Institutions). As a financial expert, advising in the field of financial services, Mrs Stošicki cooperated with the European Parliament. She has been a member of the arbitrage body at Slovenian Investment Fund Association (SIFA, a member of EFAMA), and was also a deputy president of the management board of SIFA. She is the author of many articles, research and consultancy papers.
