3P Defence
Description
3P Defence is a Lithuanian defence technology company developing OVR_GUARD, an autonomous directed-energy counter-drone system designed to protect critical infrastructure, military assets and people from the rapidly growing threat of unmanned aerial systems.
Modern drones are becoming faster, cheaper and increasingly resistant to conventional electronic warfare. Fibre-optic FPV drones and autonomous platforms can operate without relying on vulnerable radio links, creating a growing capability gap for existing counter-UAS solutions. OVR_GUARD is being developed to address this challenge through physical, precision-based neutralisation rather than signal disruption.
The system combines automated drone detection, AI-powered visual identification and tracking, precision targeting and a high-power laser effector into an integrated Detect → Track → Engage architecture. OVR_GUARD is designed to provide rapid engagements without conventional ammunition, enabling repeated interceptions with a very low marginal cost per engagement.
3P Defence has already demonstrated the core technology in real-world testing. The system has successfully detected, tracked and neutralised FPV drones using its laser effector, with successful neutralisation demonstrated at distances of up to 150 metres. The platform has also undergone military field testing during VANGUARD 2026. The company is currently at TRL 5 and is engineering the next-generation system with a target effective engagement range of up to 1 kilometre and progression toward TRL 7.
More than €600,000 has already been invested into development through founders’ capital and European and Lithuanian innovation programmes. 3P Defence has also been selected for European defence innovation initiatives, including EUDIS, and is actively engaging with defence organisations and potential institutional customers across Europe and Ukraine.
Our ambition is to build a scalable European counter-UAS platform capable of changing the economics of drone defence: replacing expensive, ammunition-dependent interceptions with autonomous, reusable directed energy.
3P Defence is currently preparing its next investment round to accelerate engineering, testing, industrialisation and commercial readiness of OVR_GUARD.
