Marine Alpha builds a modular platform of unmanned surface vessels, designed from the outset for production in large numbers. The company is based in Copenhagen, Denmark, and belongs to Bifrost Defence's product family of unmanned systems and infrastructure.
Marine Alpha's strength is that one vessel does many jobs and can be built wherever it is needed.
One platform, many missions. Navies, coast guards and infrastructure operators can configure the same vessel for surveillance, harbour protection, or the protection of undersea cables and other infrastructure. As requirements change, the vessel can be reassigned to a new role instead of being replaced. Customers can also integrate equipment from other manufacturers without redesigning the vessel.
Built at scale, close to the customer. The vessel is designed so that qualified workshops across Europe can produce it. Production can therefore grow quickly to meet demand, and vessels can be built near the customer. Damaged vessels can be repaired locally and returned to service quickly.
Together, this gives customers a fleet that is faster to build, easier to maintain and adaptable to new tasks.
Marine Alpha has built and tested working prototypes and is now preparing for series production. As part of Bifrost Defence, the company shares engineering, manufacturing, purchasing and military customer relationships with the other companies in the group.
